Set your alarms for 2 pm!

Years ago when my husband was looking for work and had job interviews daily. I set an alarm on my phone for 2 PM as a reminder to pray. It seemed most of his interviews took place about that time of day and some mornings would get busy and I would forget to pray for him. I've since continued that 2 o'clock prayer. My husband is now the ward mission leader and felt inspired to extend that invitation to our ward family. There is power in numbers and we couldn't help but think of Alma's desire for his people to "have their hearts knit together in unity and love." We feel praying together brings that unity and love. It gives us all a chance to pray for missionary work within the ward and for any other needs members may have.

This prayer has now extended to his work environment. My husband would excuse himself from the room when his alarm would go off and quietly pray alone in his office. These men in the picture are not members of the LDS faith, but loved the idea and they have joined in the prayer! They have individual prayers and sometimes a group prayer for work successes and for any other needs they might have. The man who took the picture, Carlos, is going to be taking the missionary lessons and is considering baptism! There is one other person in the office who also prays at this time and might take the lessons with Carlos.

We invite any who would like to join the 2 o'clock prayer to do it! There is great power in having our hearts knit together in unity and love! There is great work going forth in the Kingdom of the Lord!
